The Colors Of Late Fall

051120126621

It is officially winter now in Iceland: there was The First Day of Winter traditionally celebrated with eating lamb meet soup over a week ago. It is a late fall for me still. I must confess having difficulties explaining seasons to my daughter because we had four seasons in Lithuania and here in Iceland there is an old tradition just of two seasons: winter and summer.

After all the colorful leaves of fall were blown away by the strong storm last weekend, lots of green become visible around the houses: the moss is spreading wide on the Icelandic stones.
