Sunday Trip to Bjarteyjarsandur Farm

One Sunday in May we had our annual Summer trip with parents and children from Lithuanian Sunday School. We went to Bjarteyjarsandur farm located to the North of Reykjavik near the pictorial Hvalfjörður fjord. We were visiting sheep shed, playing on hay, watching and feeding lambs, rabbits, piglets and chicken, grilling hot dogs, chatting and playing outside. We had a very good time in a beautiful place.

In Iceland schools and kindergartens traditionally go to farm trips in spring or in the beginning of summer. Also families like visiting farms themselves: for picnic or for longer stay with car tents or in small  wooden summerhouses.
